Kathryn has been writing for several years. Two of her novels are in print -- Oklahoma's Gold and A Pleasant View. She currently has been expanding her writing credits to include short stories, mysteries being a favorite genre. The most recent publication is "Betrayal in an Envelope" featured in The Piker's Press, an ezine. She is currently working on completing a ghost mystery, and is seeking representation for Whips, Cuffs, and Little Brown Boxes, a cozy mystery.

To keep in touch with the writing world online, Kathryn maintains a blogsite with advice on writing -- www.kjlong-teacherwriter.blogspot.com She is also a member of SinC, Sisters in Crime, a mystery author's organization.

To pay the bills, Kathryn works as a high school language arts teacher. To encourage young writers, she decided to campaign for a high school writers' club and is currently the advisor.

Kathryn lives in northeastern Ohio with her husband. Being an empty nestor, with three grown children who are out of the house, she is finding more quiet time to write.
